Royal British Legion - Limerick Branch

"remembering the Fallen - Caring for the Living"

RBL HELPLINE: CALL 1800-992294 FREE from the Republic of Ireland.

Legion Membership is open to everyone who:

  • are currently serving (whether Regular or Reserve)
  • have previously served (including National Servicemen)
  • have not served but support the aims of the Legion

Membership of the Royal British Legion (Republic of Ireland) is open to anyone who supports the aims of the Legion and subscribes to it's core values of Remembrance, Friendship and Service.

You do not need to be, or have been, a member of the UK Armed Services. While many of our members have served or have service with the Irish Defence Forces, we also have a significant corps of committed members who have never served or have family links to the Armed Services past or present.
Regardless of your own story, the Legion now operates a Single Tier Membership giving all members equal rights to participate in Branch, District (ROI) and National (UK) decision-making processes of the organisation. But the status of the 'Beneficiary', the person who is the object of the fundraising and benevolence activities of the Legion are current and past members of the UK Armed Services and their families who are in need.
If you you would like to know more we would love to hear from you. Contact us via this website or come to our 2 weekly meetings at the The Railway Hotel, Parnell Rd, Limerick. You can also download and complete our
Application Form and post it to us.

There are branches also in Dublin (Central & Irish Metropolitan), Dun Laoghaire, Kildare, Wicklow, Wexford,  Waterford and Cork. A 'holding' branch (Claddagh Branch) is run by Legion HQ in Dublin for members unable to join a local branch. Contact the ROI Coordinator at our main Dublin Office for further information.
